If a player knows how every character in a fighting game controls and how to approach them (and most of them do), then tiers are pretty much pointless.

At the end of the day, it's not about higher strength and health or overly elaborate combos; it's about skill and strategy.

tiers exist its just to see which character has more power than others but in the end its player skill that usually is the factor for winning fights but tiers do exist

This whole thing about tiers, god who came up with it!? Tiers shouldn't matter if you know how to use the characters well, if you're a better player then it shouldn't matter at all. I bet even the "bottom tiers" can beat a "high tier" if used by a player who knows how to use them well and knows what kinds of moves can be used against someone with a so called "high tier"

Well, that's my own opinion but I really think the whole tier thing shouldn't matter.

This isn't Marvel vs Capcom 2 where Roll was the weakest character in the game. Shes a beast, you just gotta understand where shes dominant from. Her jab has the highest priority in the game. (meaning NO ONE can out jab her.) Just look at her chaining 40-60 hit combos like it's nothing. Tell me how shes low tier.
