An overwhelming performance. I have heard about this famous video, but never had the opportunity to watch it before. Thanks for uploading it.
Gobbi is still very good at voice, unfortunately Callas isn't. But she can even it out with her acting.
To hear both in the zenith of their voices listen to the great Audio recording by Victor de Sabata about 10 years earlier!

Stupendous performance! Here is a fine example how sometimes great artistry overcomes personal prejudice. I am fan neither of Callas nor of Gobbi - in fact I dislike them both quite a lot. But this second act! Absolutely amazing! Despite some vocal shortcomings, mostly on Callas' part, dramatically the performance is second to none. Great singer-actors show what opera really is about! Thanks a lot for sharing this treasure!
