  • i've been sober almost 3 weeks - i didnt stop drinking because i thought i was an alcholic but rather to start to put my life back together - since i stopped i realised that drinking was a huge crutch for me - your 'are you in or out' idea just doesnt work with my friends they seem to be supportive but then complain that i make them feel guilty when they drink near me and try to convince me to drink - have you experienced that?

  • sorry about the late reply. only one friend gave me 'shit' for not drinking but all my friends and all my bartenders are all supportive of me not drinking, they all give me my "wagon water" without me asking. thats diet coke.

  • I totally relate! Thanks for making this video.

  • Some stupid girls once tried to force hard liquer down my throut. Very often people that wants others to drink real bad, have a problem. I used to be that guy.

  • So i stopped. I lost contact with them and stopped going, and it feels great. No longer feel that people have control over me like i used to. I was very surprised to how people overall reacted to me not drinking. I was so used to getting shit from my bad behavior when drunk. Suddenly people showed me respect and said it was a good thing. I had very few bad experiences with people giving me shit about it.

  • Hows it going? I have allways had problems with people, so scared. So i drank, as we all know, that didnt help any in the long run. I hung out in bars for a year after i stopped drinking, even though i didnt want to, just to not miss anything and i didnt want my friends to think i was lame. I kept chasing after people that didnt care about me. As time went by i realised i didnt miss anything, it was just a waste of time and energy.

  • keep up the great work, you are helping a lot of people.

  • yeah i have been given the majority of my non alcoholic drinks for free - maybe because i was such a good customer or maybe because i befriended every bartender in a 10 mile radius

  • You know I was the same the first day of my sobriety I spent in the pub.

And you are right about whatever works for you then do it. I went to AA but after a few month they started to bore me and I got sick of the same rhetoric over and over. But it did help me at the first couple of meetings..I love your vlogs...well done.
