is that Jack Bruce playing bass for Manfred Mann??

I'm not quite understanding this 'Ferry across the Mersey' wouldn't that have been the inoffensive music and 'I'm telling you now' in the novelty category? Discrepancy.

All that talent from Liverpool - what are the odds?
Billy Fury, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Searchers, Billy J. Kramer and The Dakotas, Cilla Black, Ken Dodd, The Scaffold,
The Fourmost, The Merseybeats, Rory Storm and The Hurricanes
and another band with a name I can't quite remember, Oh yeah The Beaters. Awesome talents.
