  • @MrYoTambor If the Drum Major's role is carried out by a Senior NCO (Senior Sergeant and Colour Sergeant) the tunic is still silver despite the fact that the chevrons on the sleeve have to be golden. I assume that Drum Major can be carried by any enough experienced member of the Corps of Drums when it is necessary but I'm not sure.

  • @MrYoTambor The Drum Major is an NCO of the Corps of Drums as mention below. The usual Drum Major you are reffering to with the golden upper part of the tunic is a rank of a Warrant Officer. That is why he carries a sword. When the Drum Major is of lower rank than a Warrant Officer, he wears the silver decorations on the Corps of Drum's tunic (not golden). The one in the video is a Lance Sergeant thus Junior NCO and doesn't wear the sash which is worn by Senior Sergeants and upwards.

  • sorry no = not and normale = normal

  • yes that is right, what i mean is the drum major is no nco officier

he have no sword and no sash!!!

normale the drum major have a sword that is not relate to his rank !!!!!!

from which rank can be a drum major ????????????????????

  • @MrYoTambor

That guy is a Drum Major, the Drum Majors aren't actually part of the Regimental bands the are in fact part of the Corps of Drums, thus they are actually part of the 1st Battalion's of the Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots, Irish and Welsh Guards.

  • the drum majors are on vacation??????!!!!!!!!!!

  • you got some really great shots there

  • Band of the Scots Guards playing the marches
