  • I have one of these too, got it on Friday from a thrift store for $10. I uploaded a video if anyone's interested. Fantastic quality, to be honest I wasn't expecting all that much from a Sanyo, but it's great! One of the highest quality players i've ever owned, and that's quite a few.

  • I have the same exact unit. Found it at a thrift store yesterday.Cost me only $4.99 + tax.

I love it! They don't make them like this anymore. The quality is superb. I have several decks(a dozen or so), and this is one of my favorites. Great video!

  • This is EXACTLY the same make & model I had when I was a teenager back in 79-80!!!! I'd love to get another unit identical to this to help rebuild my original 1st stereo system!!!! Many thanks for sharing this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

  • got the same one. suprized me with recording qualyty.

  • Why do people keep saying a tape hisses when its really not the tape that hisses. Next time try playing a deck without inserting a tape in it and you'll hear the same noise produced by the deck itself and not the tape.Another problem is most and latest low end tape players now use a magnet to erase a tape instead of a erase head. Causing it to record that harsh hissing noise from the erase magnet itself. I use decks that dont produce hissing sound and my tapes sound loud and clear.

  • Compact cassette is the best format ever invented for music storage. They last for generations. And they came out with so many unique styles and designs over the years. I still use this format today on a daily basis. I got this nice loud sound system that I bought for my truck and the tape sounds amazing on it. I can fully function and program it with a remote. And it Sounds much better than a freaking CD.

  • Yeah, It's just getting hard to find another good deck. I can't make good recordings with this unit anymore. The high frequencies all come out distorted. It might need new capacitors or something.

  • Cassette is the way, sturdy, personnal, soulfull.

  • not good reccordings,

  • I like old audio
