Most of this footage was filmed years ago, and i have just recently made time to edit it all together. Some of these clips go back to 2006, when we were both new to Rc flying.

These models are the first generation of Parkzone planes, the original 'Ferocious Frankie' P-51 Mustang, and Focke Wulf 190, with brushed 480 motors, 27mhz radio, thin foam fuselages and Nimh batteries, although we soon put Lipo's in for better performance.

I covered my Mustang in chrome tape, repainted it in 353rdFG colours and changed the nose art to 'Lord Lucas' named after my then new born son. After over 100 flights, many bumps and repairable crashes, and being slightly harder to fly after each repair, it finally met its end due to a unrecoverable tip stall crashing into frozen hard ground. This crash was never captured on film.

One of Dave's Fw-190's 'Red 6, was custom airbrushed into the historically accurate German Ace aircraft 'Red 1'. David actually came first place with this model in 2008 entering an online scale Parkzone competition. After many repairable crashes for a variety of reasons, both 'Red1' and 'Red 6' were fatally crashed due to pilot dissorientation flying into a very strong setting sun.

When the star actor suddenly dies whilst in the middle of filming a Hollywood movie, they can sometimes complete the film by using body doubles. And so it was after the loss of both Focke Wulf's, as im sure you noticed the Parkzone Corsair being used as a camera ship, whilst being chased by my Mustang. And some of the footage of both planes flying close together, are actually two Mustangs.

There were many great clips that didnt make it into the final edited movie, and we had many eventful moments that were never captured on film. But after many flights trying to capture better and better footage, and the death of all 3 aircraft, the filming had to stop, and i had to make do with the footage i had. Hope you enjoyed the result.
