That's What Friends Are For

And I never thought I'd feel this way
And as far as I'm concerned
I'm glad I got the chance to say
That I do believe I love you
And if I should ever go away
Well then close your eyes and try
To feel the way we do today
And then if you can remember
Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for
Well you came in loving me
And now there's so much more I see
And so by the way I thank you
Oh and then for the times when we're apart
Well then close your eyes and know
The words are coming from my heart
And then if you can remember

  • this is Elton open your ears.

  • It is bad quality, but the piano playing is CLEARLY Elton and once you listen for his vocal ticks, they are there. It's him.

  • WOW!!!!!

  • @7eltonj It's definitely Elton John. This is the last sone from a benefit concert in memory of his late band member Dee Murray. It was performed at Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville TN, USA on Mar 15, 1992. Dee died two months earlier.

  • @7eltonj @7eltonj It'd definitely Elton John in 1992. It was the last song performed in a benefit concert for the late Dee Murray, a member of Elton's band who passed away two months earlier. Performed at Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville TN, USA on Mar 15, 1992.

  • It's Elton. He'd just done Sting's Rainforest show. Took a cold. I was at the show. He did two at the Grand Ole Opry. Not a dry eye in the house after this closing number dedicated to Dee

  • This cannot be anyone else than Elton John. If you have listened to Elton john 1,7 million times, you will hear the characteristics of Elton John in his voice; they are very apparant at (0:49-0:52),(1:50-2:04). You can also hear the way he pronouce the words; like: "Glad I got the chance to tsssay" (0:33). Elton was very hoarse, especially in the end of the 80s. Listen to Eltons version of: Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow 1987. If this video was a fake, it was the best ever made!
