The track "We Are IE" on this record is often cited as being the first proto-jungle tune. It was the first tune to really incorporate a heavy ragga bassline with a breakbeat and was an indicator of what was to come. It was a huge tune played by every dj and still gets played today by the likes of MJ Cole as his closing tune.

  • These tunes are blueprint tunes. That's coming from a child of '85 who caught Jungle fever in about '93.

Dubstep is/was my passion, real music on labels like Deep Medi/Tectonic/Earwax/Cloqworq and nights such as DMZ when it was at Brixton Mass...Think it was Mala or Loefah from DMZ who introduced me to this one...late in the day too!

They paid homage, and rightly so.

    BULLET!

  • Roughage.

  • @drumnbassgeeza1986 Some people just dont F*****G get it. This music was groundbreaking and had so many different elements to it. There are thousands of people young and old listening to this. There hasn't been another kind or style of underground sound that comes close to this. Still lovin' and listenin' at 40...LOVE IT

  • quit ya bitchen n enjoy the track u dnt knw shit peace :-)

  • WTF???? What has this tune got to do with shitstep or whatever it's called. This is HARDCORE JUNGLE when it came out in 1991 and I was there. Take your dubstep, DnB, UK Garage etc etc and ram it right up your talentless commercial arses...and breath

  • loved this and the e was still good happy days

  • OOOOooo...This was MY tuuuuuuune! Close my eyes while listening to this and BLAM I'm back in a sweaty, musty rave; Wow, nostalgia! Love it! Take me back...

  • :-D ...sorry if I laugh, but Dubstep (most honourable form of Music) wouldn't exist if there had not been D'nB Jungle... Some people were born "yesterday" for real! :-D ...pardon me if I keep on laughing... Mmmmmh, did I really have to say this? Naaaaaah!

  • @TheCartman95 exactly... time for history lessons.

  • @jippiandy Dubstep came from around 2000. This is from 1991. If anything this tune shows a garage influence which is where Dubstep comes from. NO MORE MISINFORMATION... This is jungle. Look up Ellis Dee, Swan-E, Tom & Jerry, Suburban Base, 2Bad Mice, the documentary "A London Sumting Dis" and so much more. Please, stop the madness... lol. for real.
