It's a shame that the general public don't watch this sort of thing. All they hear is "Orr...I lost me job" from union ads.
-
I've seen/heard both sides. Different from ACTU advts on TV. ATCU is,rightly loosing grip on labour force. I believe, Govts should look after the companies who creates jobs WHILST MAKING SURE COMPANIES LOOK AFTER THE WORKERS. That's how it should be done. I wouldn't give my vote to a party who is going change all and give control to Unions. Govts should have control over labour force through companies their working. Not Unions. Times are changing...

The smarter Liberal voter didn't listen to this garbage just as the smarter Liberal voter didn't lock in interest rates when they knew they were coming down... in direct contradiction to what was coming out of the mouths of Liberal leaders at the time! They will punish their preferred party for a few more elections yet just as Labor voters punished Labor for Mark Latham! Everyone voted for Johnny after 9-11( even I) but still hated the man with the magic eyebrows!

Look at how scared this guy looks!
John Howard ruined this guys career(not to mention the Liberal brand) by putting him up against Gillard to defend an undefendable policy during a time of alleged once-in-a-century boom. Everyone hates a Liberal voter!

I know of a heap of companies big and small that all closed up or moved over to china all during the howard years so really the ir laws did fuck all for keeping more jobs in australia or creating more jobs here, all it was for more money to stay in greedy corporate back pockets ad drive the useless little man into the ground and work for next to nothing or walk out the door.

"Check the link on the Liberal Party website re Howard govt achievements."
- That's a joke right? Why don't you try going to Adolf Hitlers blog and read how he didn't kill any Jew's. If those aren't bias sources, I don't know what is!
IR laws are in place so companies can employ more, increase productivity and put higher ridiculous incomes in the pockets of chairpersons, board members etc. They take advantage of those who desperately need work to feed and care for their families. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Libs have always been their for business, stiff sh*t about the people that make this country work, the labourers, the factory workers without them what would businesses have.

It goes both ways. Without employers providing jobs, where would you work? At least the Libs made it possible to employ ppl in Australia, so at least you had a job. Now that Rudd is in charge, watch the jobs disappear, as companies relocate overseas for cheap labour. Anyway, compared to many other countries we are still way better off in Australia, so stop complaining!

It's better under Rudd than the Howard days where you had a job waiting for you, on a wage that can't support your rent, let alone food and other costs. Howard voted against every wage rise since the 1980s. As Joe Hockey says "That's bad for Australian families"

Dude what are you smokin!?? Rudd's hardly been in the country since he won office. He's done nothing for working families. He made the indigenous apology his number one priority for pete's sake! meanwhile.. interest rates, petrol, utilities, grocery prices, cost of living, unemployment, all up; and now with ETS being introduced, set to rise even more! He can't blame Howard or drought or whatever, forever. Sooner or later the buck has to stop with him! How are Australians better off??

You're kidding right? On Howard last year in office, he spent 15million on aeroplane travel. Spending months overseas. This is hardly the case with Rudd. As for inflation, you'll notice it's dropped since the ALP have got into office. But you can't blame the ALP for all these rises, they've only been in less than a year in office. However, to be fair, lets give him a few more years to judge them fairly. Howard had 11 years, accomplished very little for the "Howard Battlers"
Ikazi 3 years ago
It's not true that Howard accomplished very little. Check the link on the Liberal Party website re Howard govt achievements. Ever heard the adage 'you don't know what you've got till it's gone'? Well Australian's are finding out now, as the country goes to the dogs under Rudd. And by all means, lets give Rudd time to 'prove' himself. All he'll prove is that voters made a huge mistake at the last election. Seen the latest Morgan poll? The Morgan Govt confidence rating has dropped 18.5% to 45.5%

btw.. you haven't answered the question.. How are we better off under Rudd? Oh, and the inflation rate is only down to what it was when the Libs were last in office, but don't expect it to stay there!
