Easy Goer, another flawless performance, won by about 5 lengths, could have won by much more than that, run over an extremely deep,cuppy and very slow track that day, and he still ran an awesome 122 beyer over this very slow track.

Easy Goer's campaign was truly historic,not only did he run the fastest three year old mile of all time in 1:32:2, he second fastest Belmont of all time wonly Secretariat ever faster,fastest 7f of the year in Florida,among the top 3 to 5 all time fastest Travers &Whitney's,&the only horse ever to win the Jockey Club Gold Cup,Travers,Belmont,Woodward &Whitney,but also only Easy Goer,Kelso &Slew OGold ever won the Whitney,Woodward&Jockey Club Gold Cup in the same year,but EG was the only 3 yr old.

@danylson10 Yes, it was no secret why Beyer stated that "from a speed-performances standpoint, Easy Goer, at the ages of 2 and 3, ran even faster and better than Seattle Slew, Affirmed and Bid did." It is too bad his grapefruit, swollen avocado, misshapen ankles caught up to him and cut his 4 year old way too short after only a few starts.
