The character who doesn't know himself buys the "crap" being sold by Lars. Lars doesn't know dada, or art, and doesn't care, but he still sells it since he is purely motivated by profit. The thing is, I think you are both Lars and the "Who Am I" guy. The "crap" you are selling is your own idea of "taste" and "knowledge", and you've sold it to yourself. Perhaps it is your own self-disgust that kills yourself in the end.

The 'crap' that I'm spoofing is that most people would rather spend thousands of dollars on restaurant meals and booze that end up in the toilet the next day than buy original art ;-)

"Crap is crap, isn't it?" I don't know - define crap. "Crap IS crap" won't do. We all can see that 1 = 1, but only because we know that 1 does not equal 2, or 3, or 0, or 8, etc. Understanding is differential: it is more important to know what something IS NOT, rather than what something "is", as this is how our minds work. So please explain what "crap is not", in other words, how can you define "real art"?

Dada is forced madness. It is the highest level of rationality, and the lowest center of the brain. It speaks in tongues, and tongues those it speaks to into a state of extacy akin to religious fervor. It chokes its victims, and then gives them air - becomes their best friend, then betrays them by sleeping with their partner. It hates fidelity, but loves friendship and comraderie and sex, and violence, and politics, and religion, and ... ... ...

It "is" non-falsifiable (is it?). That this may be/is/is-not the case does not fly in the face of Dada. It has always been irrational. And it has always been very rational for that very fact. Would you like to wash this down with a bit more confusion? It's on the house! (Everything I say is a lie...)

It seems rather strange that the attempt to define or find meaning in dada is contrary to its definition. It seems non-falsifiable to say 'whatever you say it is, that cannot be what it is'. I can see that dada, perhaps, is an attempt to find something which does not lie within the structure of the mind.
