In what amounts to the automotive equivalent of a three-year fan dance, Ford has been teasing the U.S. with the impending introduction of a new entry-level car, one already acclaimed in Europe as the 2009 Ford Fiesta. First revealed at the Frankfurt show in 2007 as the Verve Concept, the all-new Ford Fiesta found its way to European markets from its assembly plant in Cologne, Germany, a year ago. And since then it's been collecting accolades like anything with a British nameplate does on Top Gear.

@gwalia4 Agreed, even tho the stock tires suck in snow and ice and I'd highly reccommend buying snow tires for it I agree that the sport package is not something you want to go with at all. Even the normal tires and 16" on the SES Hatch make this handle amazingly well.

@sexykid965 Do not buy a sport package. It will ruin the ride of this little car. You already have lot of interior noise in a small car. Going with low profile tires will increase noise and decrease pickup. Standard wheels are better for everyday use. Seriously you do not need to turn very sharp on public road unless you want to get arrested and loose your license. For everyday driver regular package is best

@FoxhoundJay that's the sound of the 6 speed dual clutch transmission powershifting like a manual. the numb feeling automatic you are used to is a slushbox with torque converter which is ~10% inefficient

This baby handles. It is a shame that Ford has a Gay Ad agency promoting this car on TV. Nothing against the gays just that the ads only shows the pod and not the vehicle. Ford does not want to sell this car to men.
