This is a response to the Doctor Metropolis video about religion and atheism.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb5bGM8MTSo

But anyone who's not an atheist or doesn't consider him or herself an atheist may also answer (in fact, I wish you would).

Is your impression of atheists based solely on the loudest and most in-your-face members of the atheist community? Or have those in-your-face atheists opened your mind to thinking about and talking about atheism?

I'm curious.

  • Is there anything you can do to fix the sound?

  • I think it must be my sound card. I've been trying to fix it, but I'm not getting to far.

  • Continued from below: I don't "look down" on atheists or anyone of any faith for that matter because of the fact that we all have brains and are capable of cognitive reasoning to our own answer on the "God question." I have friends who are atheists and they are some of the nicest people I have met. Sorry i didn't post a video

  • Hows it going everyone? Well let me first state that yes I am a Christian. I have been a Christian for 7 years now and am currently attending a Christian college currently receiving my BA in bible and theology. I know as for me personally my impression of atheists is that atheists are just people like the rest of us,

  • I do not like the label "atheist" because that label is too absolute. Agnostic is closer to my concept, being that I do remain open minded... but I do NOT believe in the god of Abraham or in any of the dogmas associated therewith. I do like "secular progressive", despite Bill O'Reilly's attempts to cast aspersions upon that label.

  • I think it's all good. The adamant activistic atheists, the laid back hip atheists, the take it all quietly atheists who swear to tell the truth in a courtroom with a hand on the bible atheists... I personally have not taken The Blasphemy Challenge only because I find it insulting to use a religion's dogma to proclaim my position. Peace

  • I doubt that any theists will respond to your question.

Most theists are immune to argument.

    The Catch 22 of faith.

  • Hey, thanks for being direct! Well, I get my impressions from both personal experience and media including YT. I don't reject them outright, as a fear of the unknown has been the driving force behind most definitions of Human Existence ( including org. Religon).
