Playa Tamarindo is one of the most popular beaches in Costa Rica due to the crystal clear water and the variety of things to do in the area. Playa Tamarindo has a variety of sport fishing spots nearby as well as great golfing at the nearby Hacienda Pinilla. If you are an animal lover, you can visit the nearby wildlife refuge Marino Las Baulas. It is a national park where leatherback turtles come to breed and nest every summer. Both novice and experienced surfers come to Playa Tamarindo to catch the perfect waves
