Camp Zenith is organised by Chung Cheng High School Yishun, primarily to empower our student leaders with leadership skills and invaluable experience of self-discovery. Camp Zenith At Annapurna Base Camp, Nepal took place from 22 November to 5 December 2009, and 27 Secondary 3 SLC members were selected to go on this trip. It was a rigorous 14 days, of which 10 were for trekking to a height of 4130m, and 4 were for cultural exchanges and community involvement projects. On the trek, these 27 SLC members braved challenging terrains and occasionally sub-zero temperature to emerge with a great self-awareness of their individual strengths and weakness, as well as those of their peers on the trip. And on most nights, these SLC members had to attend 2-3 hours of leadership training and reflection sessions aimed at making them better student leaders.
