Documentary about extraordinary ordinary people. Frinton-on-Sea is a town that doesn't like change. The shops, the sea front and even the people haven't changed for decades. So when Network Rail announced it was going to automate the town's manually operated level-crossing gates, there was a call to arms. Filmmaker Marc Isaacs meets the people who have decided to grow old in England's most conservative seaside resort.

After this was shown the people are very angry about this program and say it has been made to make them and the town look bad.

  • Ooops I live here.......lol

  • this is fucking biased. they filmed everything whilst all the kids were at school or something so they made frinton looks shit. DO IT AGAIN BUT DONT JUST FILM OLD PEOPLE.

  • just saying i agree with that frinton is mostly old people but there are many children like me who go to the high school and hang out around the area not to the oldies joy lol

  • Does that old woman stand on the street corner all day?

  • Again with the police at the protest! Its hardly like there gonna go tiananmen on us!

  • Why has that mesage been thumbed down? They say the camera never lies: they're wrong - it lies all the time!! This really is a crap excuse for a program, seriously.

  • The old man at 5:24 is soooooo gay! I laughed so hard when the interviewer says, "you hinted that there are lots of things that you can never tell me." The old man shot himself in the foot. Excellent documentary. Five stars!!

  • we love frinton dearly but this isnt really the only side.... there are loads of young people as there is a high schoool literally 2 mintures down the road, by the traingle. and they should of shown cricket week! that is the true essence of frinton!!

  • i will say one good thing about that death waiting room, Lillies bakery is the best bakery for miles, does some fantastic grub, would reccomend it highly, even if i cant spell reccomend. ;o) and no i dont work for them.
