  • cuz as far as i can remember... the department i am on now. way out in OHIO got toned out for 9/11 on standby because no body knew what else was going to happen that day... and when the plane went down in PA i am almost positive there were vollies there. and when charleston went up.. im sure there were vollies... but hey you know... stats dont lie... 92 % of all Fire Departments are volunteer/ PPC.

  • yea. you know cuz everybody can tell the difference... let me see here as far as i know we both were structural firefighting gear... all use fire hydrants all have pumper trucks.... all abide by NFPA standards.. hmm so sorry somebody tried to make a video to tribute firefighters and there respect for them... lets be more of assholes next time eh?

  • @SAMCRO60 What point was that? Career was better? I was claiming they were equal. So, I'd love to know what "point" you tried to make. If it was Volleys have an attitude, everyone does when you try calling them worthless. Volleys thing their better? No, they just get tired of being stepped on by bigger departments. So please do tell this "point."

  • @Hobbitchoker The sad thing is that we are fighting over who's better. My last 2 comments to you were only to prove a point. There is so much hostility in the fire service between career and vollys. At the end of the day we are all brothers doing the same job paid or not. I started out as a volly and to be honest if it were not for vollys the fire service would be in a tight spot. Accept my apology please and understand what I posted was merely to prove a point thats all.

  • @SAMCRO60 Considering you thanked Volunteers on one video....you're making yourself look pathetic. Not every place can afford "Career" paid whether you have a busy day or not. Volunteers, $8 a call, thats even if we go 18 hours for a call. You are the ignorant, disrespecful idiot here. You are not a Firefighter at all. You're a child and your attitude shows it. My department, it has saved homes, people, and their business. So ask them if we are worthless. Go find another place to troll

  • @Hobbitchoker My attitude is what keeps me alive. Its what pushes me to train harder and smarter and longer. My attitude is my pride in the fire service and in everything that I do I strive to do my best. Sorry but I have seen way too many vollys that are a complete embarassment to the fire service. Sloppy, fat, lazy, disrespectful, ignorant, etc.... I'm just telling it the way it is Hobbitchoker. I am a career fireman and I dont have to prove that to you or anyone else. Haha vollys.

  • Many places in america DO NOT have a paid department within 80 mile or more. The nearest city to us has only three paid firefighters. My point is that in america most firefighters are volunteer. We have to go to the fire academy just like you. We have the same training, we drill just as often, and at the end of the day the fire gets put out and everyone goes home. I have been with Shady Grove Fire & Rescue for almost 10 years. I am Safety Officer. I am a volunteer.

  • @SAMCRO60 Your attitude, is what gets Firefighters killed. If the IAFF had its 'way' over 70% of America would be without Fire Protection, unless they wanted to hike taxes up, which I doubt anyone would want. I highly doubt your in the Fire Service, considering your...charming...attitude. Obviously manners and respect is something they don't teach. If you are a "firefighter"...get out of the service. You're one of the worst I've met so far.

  • @ebjackson78 Its not an attitude its cold hard fact. We train harder, better, smarter, and more often. We are held to and hold ourselves to a much higher standard than you vollys. Our rigs are cleaner, our station houses spotless, our uniforms pressed, our boots polished, our bodies fitter, our minds sharper, and our pride much more than yours. Yeah we are definitely better. There is a reason that IAFF wants to get rid of you vollys and leave it to us professionals.

  • Paid or volunteer....that dont matter cuz the fire is just as hot either way and the wrecks we get is the same type of wrecks paid depts get dispatched to.
