Robin of Sherwood - Darkmere (Extended Version)

It's taken a long time to finally get around to making this video. This track isn't specific to any particular character and I found it tricky to think how I would find a "way in" to making it - perhaps a case of video makers block ! The music is up-tempo, with small quieter moments which gives the song sections to it. The up-tempo parts suggest movement and action so I've made a montage of fight scenes or preparing for a fight, layered with clips of some of the adversaries that Robin and the gang face.
I've also used some incidental music from the show at the beginning and extended the main theme slightly.

I've used Michael Praed as Robin ( like previous videos) though I may make some Jason Connery videos eventually.

Some of my other Robin videos were blocked due to the YouTube / Warner Music Group dispute - Marion (main theme) / Robin ( main theme) Herne and Ancient Forest. I tried to find a way to overcome the block but wasn't successful. Maybe I'll find another outlet for them all sometime.

I hope that fans of this great show enjoy this video. It completes my aim to produce a series of videos to match the tracks on the Clannad "Legend" album. I have ideas for other Robin videos, that may see the light of day at some point....

Clannad produced such great music to accompany the atmosphere and fantastic visuals of this ground breaking version of Robin Hood. This series runs rings around any recent versions.

I have watched all your robin of sheerwood videos each time i am godsmacked at how fantastic they are at times i cry as i miss the series so much i hope itv3 repeats it again it is the best robin hood show ever

I have spent all most 22 summer solstices in cottage, place where I first time long time ago saw my first ROS episode. These videos really brings up deep memories from that place: green big forests, lakes, Finnish midnight sun..

both dvd sets of robin of sherwood are available,they are put out by acorn media.so yes they are available.

@NameOfRain it is available in region 1 in both regular and blue ray! you can get just the robin (michael) series or get the whole three seasons (with jason as richard). we watch it all the time! on yahoogroups and facebook, you can join. it is robin of sherwood on yahoo and king of sherwood on facebook! join us! (the series was first shown in the 80s, but even the cast are still involved.

Funny that ROS started in 1984, the year I was born. I wachted it later in the late eighties/early nineties when the series were repeated on tv.. I remember being really blown away when Robin died on the rock. Its the only scene I can remember of the series and I became depressed. Not for long luckily, but I thought about it now and then. It has really made an impression on me when I was little.
