  • I saw one at Leighton Moss about 25 years ago

  • Watch you don't get bittern, lol.

  • i saw a bittern for the first time at willington gravel pitts Derbyshire.

    i was soooooooooooooooooooooo chuffed :P

we waited for about an hour and a half in the cold to see it bit then we got a really good view of him :)

it was well worth the wait :)

  • Éxcellent film! I can hear this bird here around all the time, but really saw it first time just a week ago. It was raining and the bittern was walking through the pine forest (!) to move to another lake.

  • Great footage! Well done!

  • I have seen this exact bird.

I saw it about six years ago. At Leighton Moss, I was actually chuffed, because in previous visits, all we ever knew of it was its Booming call. So to actually see it was a great accomplishment for me.

    Nice footage =)

  • I was lucky enough to see this lovely bird at Leighton Moss in December also, unfortunatly it was only for about 5 seconds. Still a big tick on the list though :-)

  • wow - how rare these are!
