After almost one year, I play on YouTube for the second time this famous irish tune: "Star of the county down". I want to try a better acoustic sound than the first time, at a live performance in Florence. In this rendition I take two different arrangements together: the first is inspired by Franco Morone's arrangement: it is a slow, but it isn't the same; for the second I have used a Dominique Riviére's tablature - one more breton version - with some little changes, that I play faster. For the end, I repeat the first slow rendition.
I play with a McIlroy acoustic guitar (A25 Cedar/Walnut) in standard tuning, with capo at the second fret.
I love this tune and you play it so wonderful. I can feel the golden rays of autumn in my heart.

Excellent arrangement Luca. I am accustomed to hearing this uptempo. I think I like your version played as a ballad better. The melody and harmony get a chance to breathe like this. The tempo change at 1:27 is a nice surprise. Then turning back to slower. Very well done Maestro.
Cheers,

Hi allen,
thank you really for your so kind and friendly comment!... I'm glad you like this arrangement!... but is really this Irish melody to be nice: it lends itself to many different forms of adaptation...
But please don't call me 'Maestro', because - as someone once said before me - "there is only one master"!!... Hahaha! ...
With friendship,
