@theflamingpi Lard also goes in cookies. so you've almost certainly had it before and simply not known about it!

Lard is sold (in Canada) in the baking aisle under the brand-name of "Tenderflake". Lard is found in most pie crusts and pizza dough. Some restaurants cook with lard instead of other oils. Lard is simply animal fat.
