I just got the metaphors of the opening, the dessert, the billboards, the shots of people just chilling, it's to show that Beck are artists in a cultural wasteland occupied by corporatism and they are only ones trying to stay alive producing their own art. Everyone else seems kind of dead and beaten down by the mundane commercial life
