this is what a cover should be - he makes it his own but at the same time retains the sensuality and vocal range which makes the original so awesome.

I love how he doesn't try to do a note for note interpretation of this classic. He sounds like he is quite the Billy Stewart fan as well as a Jackie Wilson fan with the tongue trills. I would never have thought to put that in...I like his energy!!

@eeeewd33 Really sung? Instead of acting like a butthurt Wilson pseudo-purist, how about you let the guy interpret the song however he wants? There's nothing more lame than a tribute that's just another carbon copy of the original song. Oh no wait there is; going around the internet whining about "butchering" , in the context of music that eons beyond what you ever could bring to the table yourself, is even more lame....

@eeewd33, With an artist that has the goods, like James Hunter, I'd rather hear a spirited stripped down cover that captures the spirit of the original than some rote recreation. Michael Bolton singing Percy Sledge, that's butchery, not this. To each his own but I dig the scat shouts and trills. If you were in the club where this went down and weren't digging it there, I'd wager you weren't going to get laid.
