Orgasmic.
It's sad to hear that they are discontinuing V8s in their 2013 models, but can anyone quote a reliable source to confirm this?

@tpaper12 Well...the 2010 Volvo S80 was the last year for the B8444S (I drive an '07)...as for the XC90, I can only assume you heard right.

now that's just not natural for a volvo. why the hell did they feel the need to switch the exhaust??????? geezus!
-
What size are your wheels and tires? They look nice and wide.

Sounds sexy, as always with Volvo's.
-

@CARLOVER94 the 2.5 d5 is a very good engine, torque is almost the same as on the v8,only the hp is less.it can move that 2.2 ton vehicle very very well and plenty of power to spare.so yes,id reccomend the 2.5 if you are only 16 and dont want to spend too much money on fuel.
Ohh koo. I love the old taillights better thn the new ones. I'm 16 an I want a xc90 is the 2.5t good engine? It might be a 05 tht I'll find

absolutely right - i also like the old taillights :)
mh depends on what you like. for me the V8 is the best engine. The car is fast - compared to other SUVs. The 2.5T is a good engine, but i think for 2200kg it's a little underpowered... the T6 are ok, but fuel consumption is almost the same as with the V8 and the old models with T6 have problems with the automatic gearbox. you can be sure that it will break before you reach 100'000kmh (60000 miles).

thx ;) the "individual" catback is not loud... it's just a little bit better than stock. But i think you can combine all kinds of catback/sport-exhausts with a valve system... Volvo V8 sounds great anyway :) have fun with your v8 sport :)
