Does Scarecrow Year One take the Scarecrow story here out of continuity?

Some one did a two part filler story during Paul Dini's run whic had Scarecrow sending the entire city into a reign of terror without his fear toxin.

I thought Long Halloween was supposed ot be the first cannon apearence of all the villains with in except the joker?

see i not 100% sure. thats the problem with zero hour, you never know what has changed however i think in long halloween every villain has shown up before hand. i havent read year one screcrow so i dont even know f its canon cuase i heard year one ras is not canon

I thought Scarecrow year one was ok. I have it in issues. Not spectacular. From what you've said about this this sounds better.

yea i think ras and scarecow year one dont count and this does.

so this comes before long halloween and 1st apperance of the scaecrow PI man bat and riddler

Actually, this trade is a reprint of all four Batman "Year One" Annuals from 1995. So the Scarecrow story here is literally called "Scarecrow: Year One." The two-part "Scarecrow: Year One" during the Dini run you're talking about has the same name and was a tie-in to Batman Begins, but is a much worse story. I would say this version of "Scarecrow: Year One" is much better and would consider it to be canon instead.

I hadn't thought of it, but you're definitely right, Scarecrow's been shown as mostly a one-trick pony with only the fear gas as a weapon, but there's so much more you could do with him. Great review, keep it up.

Hey Andrew! Thanks for the shout out at the end of the video! I am so glad you enjoyed Four of a Kind! I totally agree with your review. The Riddler story was the best and the Poison ivy story was the weakest. Also it was NICE to see the Scarecrow in good form, which he hasn't been in years with the major exception of Heart of Hush! Keep up the good video reviews!

Ah. Well I'd still say read Scarecrow year one it's an ok story.
