Perfect Machine - Sounds Under Radio - Metropolis Music Video

This was a project for the University of Louisiana at Monroe Honors Program. The song is Perfect Machine by Sounds Under Radio and the film clips are an assortment of scenes from Fritz Lang's 1927 silent film Metropolis. The machine I speak of is that of one's job, career or really any routine that is consuming. These machines then lead to distractions (religion, drinking, lust, etc.) in order to alleviate one's conscience from the reality of 'Living to Work". In the end it is the machine that consumes those who operate it. It is as though they/we are born to uphold the systems we have created. The symbolism within the video can be adapted to seemingly limitless topics, I have written a few papers on the subject if anyone cares to read them. Special thanks to the guys from Sounds Under Radio for allowing me to use their song.
