Norfolk Southern 691 - CSX Coal Train in Snow

January 17, 2008: Snow falls as a CSX coal train 691 lead by NS Dash-9-40CW 9161 and NS SD70M-2 2671 passes the former Reading Station in Wernersville, PA. A few surprises in the train include a FRISCO and a LERK hopper. CSX has really cool gons compared to NS, my first time actually seeing the foreign drag which passes every month or so.

It had transferred to another train and left before this one ran. 690 always has CSX power.

A few minutes after, and dang you are too quick to watch! This is not supposed to be loaded, still typing the description LOL! What did you think of the Frisco hopper and the LERK hopper? Too bad the CSX power returned not on 691. Glad this train ran today, had no clue it was coming, usually runs at night.

LOL I know! Those hoppers are pretty coo, Im surprised they are still around. Speaking of CSX power, what happened to that CSX power that was on 34M the other day?

Probably went back to CSX on 35A a few days ago. 682 or 690 is where the CSX power comes from and gets stranded.
