This number, the music, this frenzied slice of humanity...I love every distilled moment of it. "Life's a ball...if only you know it" --lyrics to share every way, every day. Glad the show sold out, LuckyGuu. This scene struck me like a thunder bolt when I first saw the movie.

@LuckyGuu HS. It went really well. Sold out every night. :)

Ann-Margret is awesome, but she looks so psycho sometimes in this scene.

We are doing this for the school play. I auditioned and didn't get a part but my best friend did. I was pissed.

@Scootrzgurl 5 months later, how did the show go? HS or college? City?

@Rollman1 The Civil Rights Act was not passed until 1964 this movie aired in 63. Segregation by local law or more likely by unreasonable social choices were probably at play. Although the movie was not actually filmed in Sweet Apple, if it exists.
We're doing this for our school musical and I'm hoping to get the role of Penelope Ann :D
