  • Thank you for opening my eyes that I don't need equipment I don't have or could afford! I have rheumatoid arthritis and this raw food diet could save my life. I was ready to toss in the towel because I felt I couldn't succeed with the life change without all the equipment and you have gave me what I needed to hear. I will keep you posted as to how I'm succeeding with only a household blender. Thanks again!

  • Fantastic, you can do it!! And you will get better :)

  • This is so cool! Thanks

  • @lemurianchick Also, if you blend for too long, make sure youcontinue to add ice as the mixture will begin to heat up. (the amount of times i've cooked smoothies in my vitamix is rather annoying. ) hahaha

  • @lemurianchick Seeds of fruits contain the most amount of nutrients in them, when compared to the actual fruit itself. As humans lack the enzyme, cellulase, necessary to digest celloluse, any cell wall or seed not broken open will pass through the bode whole. The benefit of high speed blenders is that they break the cell walls quickly, thus little time for oxidation as you may have to run it for longer in a regular blender to get the same results.

  • @TheLoserKingdom : What is the purpose, the need to break thru seeds of strawberries?

  • @dieselmac igh power blenders such as the Vita-Mix can easily break through seeds, even in ones from strawberries.

  • I have found that about $150.00 blender is great.my $60.00 wally world oster fusion has steel gears and runs great.your right it just takes longer in the blender to thin out.BUT my blender will not do tinny seeds and fake ice creame.chop food and smoothies with no small seeds it works great.never owned a high power machine so I don't know if they chop small seeds or not.

  • even still though, can you please share what products you use now? i saw a food processor in one of your videos and i'm curious about which one you have. thanks so much. i just got a simple cheapie one and i am not happy.

  • I can open a young coconut with a little paring knife. I don't like the sharp stuff. I use a plate to cut my produce. I am so glad that you emphasized that a regular blender is do-able! I don't yet have a Vitamix and plan to go high raw soon and I wanna make green smoothies:)
