Does anyone agree with me that Chopin doesn't hold a candle to Schumann?

it's a shame that she wasn't in the final, let alone the semifinal.....if i have a little comment on the peformance, I thought the last piece is not as heartfelt, intimate as the rest of the playing. I wish they have recorded the whole performance

Horowitz would have never won a Van Cliburn...
This is transcendent playing.

wait....what is this piece?

This performance is exquisite and from the heart. That Amy was not elevated to the finals only shows us, once again, the inherent fallacy underlying the whole concept of music competitions!.

Schumann (Op 6) could invoke the most precious and heartfelt timeless emotions within an organized organic structure. Supreme artistry and creator.

How wonderful to hear you!!!!
This is a beautiful performance that only Amy Yang could invoke! I wish you all success and all due praise for the depth of your artistry.

It's Schumann's Davidsbundlertanze, not Brahms' Klaveristucke...
This is incredibly deep and real music. I don't think she was in the same mental and musical space as the other performers here. Amy Yang wasn't in a competition, because there's no competition at that level of artistry, there's just a spirit of creation, and giving. I come back to this video to remind myself of that. Thanks to Amy Yang for bringing the competition to a higher level. It's just too bad the judges couldn't go there with her.

Can't believe that she was not qualified for the final round. She has tremendously latent power to be one of the world class pianists.
