Hello YouTube Administrators, I hope you are doing well. I have recently been notified that two videos of mine infringe on copyrighted material, and with one video, it was no problem, because the video was mainly music all the way through and did not have any key points that are not available else where.
However, the other video is of more importance and is not completely music, and the points in that video need to stay there. Another reason is this, if I were to Audio Swap the original audio, I could easily replace it with the exact same song that is already there.
Here, let me show you.
Here you see that the audio is playing an instrumental song, and then lowers to hear the audio recorded by the camera. Now, let me play you the exact same video from audio swap, using Nine Inch Nail's 8 Ghosts 1.
As you can see, there is no difference in the song being played on the video. So therefore, if I were to comply with your claims, I could easily swap all the precious audio from the one part of the video, and replace it with the entire copyright-free song that you have on your Audio Swap list. If the song can be claimed for Copyright Infringement, then I suggest you remove it from your list.
Thank you YouTube Administrators. I wish you well, and have a nice day.
****************
On 09/19/09, I received two possible copyright infringement messages. One on my newest mirror video. (Co$ DVD and YouTube Bomb Threat Comparison) and on "Scientology likes to bring GUNS to peaceful protest"
The Bomb Threat video had no real audio except for a small 15 second excerpt of the DVD message, and that is viewable anyplace else.
The latter however, has a conversation in it, and while it is mirrored elsewhere, there'd be no point in having it if I didn't have the audio for it. Also, as mentioned above, the song used in the video, is on the AudioSwap list, and if the AudioSwap list is copyright free, then there shouldn't be a problem with the video.
I don't know
