メーヴェ 飛行の秘密 Möwen of Nausicaä Secret of Flight

風の谷のナウシカ：メーヴェのラジコンの飛行の秘密です。7月に発売された風の谷のナウシカのブルーレイディスクの記念に2009年11月、うまく飛ばなかったころから、­2010年7月、飛ぶようになるまでの改造の結果をまとめました。
　３００回以上の試験飛行の結果、メーヴェは飛ぶようになりました。数十回の改造で機体はかなり傷んでいますが、構造は非常に簡単です。
メーヴェは以下のアイデアにより安定して飛んでいます。
１）EPPから作られた薄い形状の翼では、ねじり下げは効果が弱いため、EPPで後部に厚みを持ったねじり下げを作りました。これにより、翼端スポイラーの効果もでていま­す。滑空性能は落ちますが、メーヴェらしく飛べばよしとしました。
２）小さなフィンを大きくし、EPP製のフィンの後部を厚くしました。翼端スポイラーの効果があります。
３）EDFダクトファンの空気排出口を前方に移動し、空気排出口を翼の中央におきました。
４）高出力のEDFに変更しました。
５）ナウシカの位置を重心の後方にして、飛行時の安定性を高めました。
以上により、安定した飛行が可能になりました。風が強いほど安定します。

Möwen　(RC Air Plane) of　Nausicaä of the valley of the wind. Secret of Flight for release memory of Blu-ray Disc of Nausicaä of the valley of the wind. This Möwen is a hand-made original work by me. It rode on wind and came to fly comfortably.
As a result of test flight more than 300 times, Moven came to fly stably.　A fuselage is considerably damaged by dozens of times remodeling, but, the structure is very simple.　Moven flies stably by the following ideas.

1. Because there are a few effects by thin shape wash-out in wings made from EPP, I made the wash-out that had thickness in the rear with EPP. By this, an effect of wingtip spoiler is given, too. Gliding quality ability fell, but it was good if it flew like Moven.
2. I make small fin to big one and I made the rear of fins thick. It is effective in wingtip spoiler.
3. I moved an air vent forward and put an air vent at center of wing.
4. I changed EDF to the high output one.
5. I put a position of Nausicca behind a center of gravity.
