Austrian Mangalitsa Pigs on Christoph Wiesner's farm. You can see the erosion the pigs cause with their constant rooting, and how even fat pigs can really get around if they think there's some food.

  • @GoldenruleYWS It is not a Hungarian pig. Miloš Obrenović I, Prince of Serbia sent a few pigs (breed: Sumadinka) to Archduke Joseph, Prince of Hungary and Bohemia as a gift in XIX century. By mating them with Bakonyi and Bzalantor breeds he achieved Mangulica (so we call it in Serbia). It has both Serbian and Hungarian genes. :) Not so many of them are left in Serbia today, which is going to change soon... i hope.

  • yes, mangalitza is a hungarian breed.

  • The Mangalica is a Hungarian breed. Note the correct spelling.
