This bill sought to give drug and device companies immunity from civil liability in the State of Georgia. Following his testimony, the Georgia Senate Economic Development Committee voted against the bill in a 7-4 vote. By voting this bill down, the Senate Economic Development Committee has taken a strong step to protect the health of Georgia citizens, and has ensured that important Constitutional rights are not taken away from Georgia citizens who are harmed by pharmaceutical drugs and devices.
