70 pushups in under 1 minute on the summit of Antarctica's highest mountain- Mt. Vinson (16,077ft). Part of the USAF 7 Summits Challenge- a project to make US Air Force members the first military team to reach the highest peak on each continent. Team members do pushups atop each summit to raise money for the families of fallen comrades and to promote physical fitness. Visit their USAF7Summits site to follow them to the top of the world.

  • @bigbattles We're not sure how someone gets assigned to Antarctica. As for us, we got there the hard way- via a Russian IL-76 and then a Twin Otter further into the continent. It wasn't an assignment or a TDY, just team members using their own personal time to tackle the fifth peak in our project to take the Air Force to the summit of each of the seven continents!

  • how do you get assigned to go to antartica?
