I call these motionless electrical generation devices "batteries"
-
Yup, its a voltaic pile. A basic battery. The paper is not a dielectric, it holds moister, which is your electrolyte.

@breakthemachine yea... no....

thanks for this video I had no idea the solution to my problem would have been so simple.

You need to use an anolog meter for your tests. the magnet is interfering with your digital meter. there is no voltage there.
-
@myturn59 your correct :)
-
the voltage comes from ac radiowaves being rectified to dc by the magnet. is like a radio tuner crystal detector with random signals. the paper does not act like a dielectric. the paper act like a oxide. use a sensitive volt meter and you chould see the open circuit ac voltage is changeing the same as the dc trough the magnet. an open circuit sensitive volt meter can detect random fluctuations of radiowaves.

you need a scope. Your DMM is reading noise which you would see with the scopoe
-
neat but u think the volts cud be created cos of the movement with the probes from the multimeter ? May stick the probes on and then see if there is a reading. If there
is any kind of reading u should be in the history books. Gonna try ur set up myself.
Well done anyway.

FAKE!
Since nothing is moving, there are some possibilities. Perhaps somehow it is collecting electrons that are free and are moving through space and the magnet is causing them to flow a certain way much like a capacitor charging and discharging.

i dont think nothing is moving... the magnetic field is in constant flow. i think thats why it generates current but i might be wrong

What would happen with a bigger magnet/ washer? I think i'll try it
alternatenergy 3 years ago
i have tried a bigger magnet (same) i have not tried a bigger washer tho. its weird, sometimes its constant V and sometimes its playing around.anyways let us know how it went :-)
