Below is another website that shows all of the Atari 65xe/800 videos on my YouTube channel for easier reference:
http://www.programmermind.com/atari/ataripage1.html
Here is one of the first video games I ever created on an Atari 65xe using a MAC/65 assembler back in 1990. Now I lost the original game files so this one is missing a lot of the screens it once had. Still at least you can see where I began my programming journey back in 1986. So this incarnation was attempted in 2007 and this video is the result.
Take a close look. This is not an emulator either. It is retaining the original colors, speed, and sound. The benefit is though I have the LCD display sending a signal to my video converter on my laptop.
For those who remember the first programming languages were mostly written in Basic. Now Basic was a compiled language so it slowed down a program when run since the computer had to interpret every since line of code.
This game was written in a faster way using coding symbols such as LDA #1 STA 53270. That is called loading the accumulator (LDA) and storing it in a memory location (STA).
The sound works, but I didn't program any audio into it yet. Here is an example of how to make a sound loop in Atari Basic.
FOR X = 1 to 255
SOUND 0, X*2/((255-(X/2))),8,14
NEXT X
So it will kind of sound like TV static which is the noise you get when you have nothing but snow on your screen (when an antenna is not hooked up). The Atari computer was actually able to emulate a lot of neat sounds for it's generation. I created an assembly program once that cycled through a variation of different unique sounds. It kinda sounds like an alien, laser blasts, etc.
Okay I just now realized how rare this computer stuff is. I have therefore decided to share all of my games and programs I created in the past. I have the whole Antic magazine series up to the final printed magazine (I believe it was in 1992). After Antic was cancelled, Start magazine took them over and gave Antic a backseat to the rear of their magazine. I also have many programming books and a whole slew of diskettes which I will be sharing.
The MAC/65 cartridge was purchased through a third party vendor I met through a user on Ebay for about $65. I realize it is probably even more valuable now. I also own the original Action cartridge too. So I'm excited to explore this new endeavor with my fans.
Let me know if you want tutorials on these as well. That may be a little difficult since I cannot speak while interacting with this game. Maybe I will figure out a way. Otherwise you will see a lot of typing to explain how things work.
This is exciting since I debated putting this video up for a long time. I was afraid that nobody would care about it. Yet in one hour it has achieved a milestone of 21 views. Usually it takes a day to get that.
For those who are curious. Here is how I translated the video from an Atari 65xe physical computer to YouTube. First I own the original Atari 65xe. You can find these cheap on Ebay. Next I hooked my LCD up to my Atari with video cables. This takes a little work. After this I ran a video converter from my laptop to my LCD via a cable connector. This is a time consuming process, but it worked. It took several tries in order to think this through like an engineer would though.
There are a lot of cool things you can do with an Atari computer. You have a selection of up to 13 GRAPHICS screens, 4 sound channels, Display List Interrupts, Player Missile Graphics, and so much more. I will go over all this more in detail later.
Hack:
I now realize this is some type of hack I had to accomplish. I am having a major time trying to get my TV channel signal sent to my laptop. It is still picking up the DTV signal for now. I'll keep working on this.
I also still own my original Commodore 64 with all my games and programs. Let me know in the comments if you want to see this stuff too. I will need to purchase an adapter since mine got fried. If anyone remembers Loadstar I am happy to report that I have a ton of their software. When I was busy programming back in the 1990s I sold them one of my games too called, "Quest for the Mad Bomber". I still have that original disk. Hopefully once I get a good adapter and figure out how to get my Commodore 64 transferred to YouTube then you may get a view of that submission, which earned me $350 after persuading the publisher Fender Tucker that people would be interested in a text adventure series.
Please subscribe and I promise for this to be a great channel for Atari Basic/Assembly programming. I studied code from 1986-1993 so I understand how a lot of things work.

@kmment Thanks. Yes I was an Assembly nut in those days. I created fast graphic routines, raster displays, etc. Too bad I don't have those programs anymore. After that adventure I started developing Commodore 64 assembler games -- one of which I still have called Spaced Out - which is basically an alien spaceship type game.

I subscribed after this! you must know your 6502. The game looks very smooth, lots of assembly! i dabbled in 8048, z80 years ago and later 8086 but nothing much tbh, this is looking good

I just have been successful in hooking up my Atari 800XL to my LCD TV after a several year relapse. Stay tuned for some cool stuff. I will be uploading some of the programs I created and others I have on disk. There may even be a DOS 2.5 introduction tutorial if I get requests for it. So let me know in this section please.

Okay everyone let me know if you want to see more videos. I just thought of an idea to create a live tutorial video. I can record my LCD screen with the Atari hooked up like shown here and then record my narration separate on a recording device while interacting with the computer. Let me know if you would like this please.
