Looks like the "handler" is doing the herding and the dog is just walking along! This is not herding by any stretch of the imagination and is a huge embarrassment to anyone who actually has working dogs.

They aren't fetching or driving, the dog might as well be on leash. The dog is never controlling the sheep.

Actually, seems to me that this is just poor video rather than a dog who isn't herding. Not enough video to tell what is going on...
And I'd sure be interested to see the video of the "mutt" who is better...

Yes, it is "poor video" indeed -- it's just me, playing around with the video option on my camera. If you are looking for high-quality video, maybe you shouldn't be poking around on YouTube. I'm just sayin'.

sorry, that was "poor wording" on my part. I wasn't referring to the video in general, only the fact that people were trying to judge the dog on a short video where you really have nothing to go on. Didn't mean to imply that your video was a bad video!!!

Thank you. Unfortunately, "everyone is a critic" on YouTube, or so it seems lately. I just wanted to play around with my camera, and film some cute sheep. I have no knowledge of sheep herding, but was feeling a little "ganged up on" by some of the commenters.
