I would use "custom html modules" - create one in the modules section by clicking "new" and then choosing "custom html" - then you choose the module position e.g. "left" and you can put any normal content in there.

Hey Tia, an article is a page, or a blog entry or feature, or anything else you want to make so a good way to look at it is that joomla now encourages you to make use of it's in built categories and sections for better display of your content when you create buttons like a "section blog layout" .. hope that helps.

not really a page is it, its just a link to an article.
in v1.0 there was a new page button, why not in 1.5??

One pound equals 3,500 calories... so in one day its actually easy to lose 1,000. Of course you have to work out.. You lose 300+ calories just riding a bike for 30 minutes.. Walking, running etc. you can also burn up to 500 calories in a sauna in 30 minutes.. Definitely get checked out before trying to lose weight..rapid weight loss is not good..

best way would be to create a new module by going into the modules page in the backend.
Make a new module - a custom html module when you click on " new " on the modules page.
Then you will get an html editor that looks similar to the articles..
Make sure your position is set to left or right, or it may be named something else if other positions were set with your joomla.
If you are using Joomla 1.0 etc. then you can see your module positions under - site/template manager/module positions.
