Way, way, WAY too fast. Having performed this under John Rutter's baton, I can tell you this is about 25% faster than the composer intended.

tempo marking is quarter = 72

I agree McUther. Our choir did this piece and sanctus was challenging.

My 3rd favorite movement next to agnus dei and tied for 2nd out of the deep and the lord is my shepard

das Lied, hat mir als erstes am besten gefallen, als ich das Requiem gehört hab...einfach wunderbar...möchte sofort wieder mitsingen=)

In my opinion this was one of the hardest to perform- because it easily sounds...muddy- if not carefull it all becomes noise instead of music...
-But it was GREAT to perform it :D

I think this is too fast, so it may be slower.
