What happens when 2 overtly competitive friends decide to play hide and go seek tip at Everglades historic gardens?

Not much, you'd think...

'Ready, Or Not' is the first short film produced by Punjabi Carnival Productions, and daringly defies your preconceptions of a chase-oriented action film.

Starring: Cameron McCormack, Jerry Kolodynski and Justin Reardon.

Music (used with permission): 'Uncaged Czarina' - Danosongs.com
'Zombie chase' - Kevin McLeod
-Ranz des Vaches' - Kevin Mcleod.

'Ready, Or Not...' was shot entirely in one long and painful day, and edited on-and-off over the course of 3 months. The filming of this short film, has taught me one very valuable lesson - always bring food to the shoot. Special thanks to the Everglades gardens for putting up with us.

Trivia:
- The ending to the film was originally going to be composed of 4 alternative endings, all played after each other to make the impression of a distortion in reality.

- All of the characters dialogue was performed impromptu to give a more natural feel.

- It was a sheer coincidence that the chaser and the photographer characters were both wearing nearly identical costumes.

- The photographer character can be randomly seen 7 times throughout the film.

- The shot at 3:10 was originally supposed to have the character whistling with glee, but the actor couldn't whistle.

- At 3:56 you can see a branch moving backwards and forewords, caused by the cameraman.
- The use of split-screen was initially only implemented to save video time, but later on, was found to have a great effect on the storytelling of the film.

- The heart that the chaser rips out of his friend's ribcage is merely a rotten pear covered in fake blood.

- Cameron McCormack injured himself after practically every stunt he performed, in the final film, you can see him at 1:57 landing face first off the ground.
