Sorbetti's Chilly Reception

The Star Bunnies are still somewhat scared, it seems as Bowser's presence is still around here...Well, maybe just that one Star Bunny in the cabin. But hey, he lives in the planet closest to it so he has reason to be scared--if Sorbetti decides to go after the Star Bunnies, it'll go after this one first.

This mission takes a completely different path from "Bowser on Ice" after the clear area with the frozen pond. You find the Star Chips the Star Bunnies have hid and use them to go to an area trapped in what seems to be perpetual blizzard. One Star Bunny hangs out here. There are a lot of goodies to find here, and the low visibility means you need to search for them. Or just do what I do in this video.

Sorbetti turns out to be one of the planets you visit, which I found was an interesting surprise. Looking at its design, Sorbetti seems to be based on the Tap-Tap enemies from Yoshi's Island, but without the legs. Instead, it rolls around like those rolling boulder enemies. You have to spin at its red nose three times to defeat it, and it rolls around faster and in more complex paths each time.

The first time I took on Sorbetti, I finished it in less than 15 seconds. It was just a one-two-three punch and it was down. I wish I could recall what I did, as I'm sure it would've looked impressive.

What powerup did you prefer here: the Rock Mushroom or the Fire Flower? I prefer Fire Mario, because of the music and the ability to throw fireballs.

I found Sorbetti really hard, lost about 15 lives trying to beat him. The hard part is how he slowly rolls towards you.
