This video for "Going Home: Finding Peace When Pets Die" was compiled from images and testaments offered by my readers on behalf of animals they have loved and lost. I thank them. The book will be published on September 27. The words I speak are from the opening pages of the book, a letter from a lost animal. You can pre-order signed and personalized copies of the book from Battenkill Books, Cambridge, N.Y. 518 677 2515 or info@battenkillbooks.com Help support an independent bookstore, my bookstore.

  • Thank you for posting this video - this is very timely for me, as my elderly golden retriever (15 yrs., 5 mos) will soon be leaving me, I know. Beautiful and comforting.

  • sales people and their pals program us from the time we are young. animal toys, pets, movies. they do it for money! do not become emotional about animals! many animals are ignorant and cruel, they will eat a child. people get sick more when they have mud, hair, animal feces, and kitty vomit all over our houses and hotels. US government spends billions of dollars per day on animal problems, but leaves people out to die! - james mcashan for the US Senate

  • I lost my best friend on March 3 2011 he will never be forgotten!

  • My dog is about 5-6 years old and I still remember the first day I got her when i was about 5 or 6 I came hoem and at the end of the garden there she was sitting there.. I may bring a new animal into my life when shes gone but I will never love another animal as much as I loved her. She can sit on command give me her paw on command and she can catch food in her mouth it took long for her to learn this. She is our family member and she will be forever in my heart. I love you quilla<3<3<3
