Debt, in some, perhaps large, part, seems an illusion, a trick, a
joke, in more ways than one, such as if we're talking about fiat
currency, created- and loaned- for very little cost or risk compared with its borrow. (One might imagine the snickering of the bank managers as we blissfully skip away with our signed contracts and some extra wool pulled over our eyes).

Remember the old timers telling you "back in my day all we had to play with as kids was a stick and a hoop."? Well, in the soon to be future you can tell YOUR kids who will be playing with sticks and hoops again about how you used to borrow money to play with high tech gadgetry. That is if you have a free minute or two while trying to survive...

well i have been alarmed about the debt for a ong time, glad it is becoming fashionable at last. note the foreign held part of the debt is about 20% of it i think. most of it is held domestically by wealthy americans who collect interest on a risk-free loan. even so, the fact that all the income tax collected west of the mississippi goes to inerest payments is sobering.

Simple solution Default on everything!! America becomes the world's most hated country but we look to ourselves and only hire within our country to find a new way back to prosperity! If this doesn't work we can always Demonize our complaining creditors and bomb them into their next life!!

Round up all of the Monopoly games you can find and use that to pay off anyone who is dumb enough to lend the United States their money!!

This same thing happened just before the french revolution. King Louis XVI had huge debts for France and then he wanted to pay it off by raising taxes on just the poor! They had a revolution because of it! I hope it does not have to come to that here!
$500,000,000+ a day in interest payments? Shouldn't we consider taking away Congress's credit cards?

I love it. Im moving to China where our money is. It must be gettin pretty nice over there. Just kidding. Because of communism, the majority of the country is still impoverished while the state doles the money out where it sees fit.
