  • Good tip!

Otherwise you can just keep flying nitro like we do here in Alaska. :) Just richen em up some and your good to go.

  • @Skytrekin

Hahaha!!!! I'm a wimp, electrics are my friend in the winter:D

  • Hey Nick, I met you a few times at BVRC and PowerRC in Bryan. I've been flying helis almost a year now and this fall I bought Kevin M's TREX 600 LE with OS50 engine. I'd like a more powerful engine when the current one goes out. What is your preference, the YS56 or the OS55? Thanks!

  • @taurustbolt

Hey! Hope you are doing well. Miss flying at BVRC. That was a great feild.

I would recommend the OS55. Overall it runs very smooth and consistant, and produces great power. There is the new 55 HZ-R, depending on what fuel (low viscosity preferably such as Byrons Master's blend and CoolPower's 30%) the R carb version runs very very well. Using Wildcat and the Competition blend Byrons, the non regulated carb will run similar, off of muffler pressure.

  • Thanks awesome video very helpful!!!

  • @NickMaxwellRCPilot Thanks for the reply. My name is Mark by the way, I joined BVRC last January. I'm using RotorRage 30/20 fuel in my OS50 right now. That 55HZ-R looks to be $399, which is more than I really wanted to spend. I think in addition to the larger engine, I'll need a larger pipe. Currently I have the MP-5 (not the stock banger version). The 55HZ-H is $299, which sounds more palatable. Is the Thunder Tiger .56 ($230) as powerful as the OS 55? I'm just flying for fun, not competition.

  • also, nice nitro logo 500 :)

  • i usually fill the inside of the engine up with WD40, drain it out, close it up, and crank it with the starter for a few seconds. it worked pretty well so far, my bearings last alot longer.
