@disbesa Take a look a the complete match (1972 wimbledon final) available on youtube.
Nastase served at 5-6 in the fifth set, got to 40-0, then choked it away with some weak errors and a double fault. Typical of his sad career.

Sorry to break it to you, but you, I and anyone else are entitled to evaluate public figures, such as athletes, based on their performance and behavior. Nastase under-performed and acted like a jerk, and a racist. If you wish to dispute that, do it with facts.

Gee, watching, this dumbass video you would think Nastase actually won the 1972 Wimbledon over Stan Smith, instead of LOSING in five sets. When I think of Nastase I think of two things. First, he was an obnoxious pig (he actually called Arthur Ashe the N word during a match). Second, he squandered his great talent. He had the ability to win a half dozen majors, but only won two because of his lack of mental focus and hard partying. What a jackass.

@yahwhous I made this vid just with the intenttion to show a bit of his talent for tennis, not to judge his social prejudices. I agree that he spoiled many chances to win more GS anyway, but no matter if he ended up losing the match Nastase was the kind of player who performed "the shot of the day".
