Great video, and I don't disagree with you in general, but I'm sure we could come up with a lot more distinctions than just cooking.

Perhaps only humans create art? Although maybe you could compare the songs of the humpback whale to Beethoven? Or one might consider the intricacy of a beehive as a work of art?

Only humans can understand abstract concepts or mathematics?

Only humans have religion?

All of these could probably be contested, but I tried. :P

Yes some of these would be difficult to establish.

Religion is probably the easiest to established. I don't think this behavior has been observed among any of the animals.

Why is there so little religious cooking ??

The human spirit can only occupy a human body, never an animal body and vice versa. When was the last time any of you occupied a horses body? Never! Distinguishing animals from humans is more than physical, its spiritual

Humans will evolve over each and every life they live, while animals will evolve physically but not spiritually. They live on instinct. Do you live on instinct? No.

To say the only difference between humans and animals is cooking is stupid. How bout math & language?

@IlC4RL0SIl "Rule"? How do you mean? You mean that we are able to kill them at will? Thats not really ruling anything. Besides there are tons of species we dont even know about becuase they live in such small numbers in such remote places (like in the deep sea) that we cant possibly be able to find and "rule" them.

@skeliton1121 but most people do not truly grasp what it means when it is called theory. to say that we physically evolved without consciously evolving along as life passed is not seeing the obvious. that is what i meant to say. our consciousness evolved along with the physical bodies of the animals before. when dinosaurs went extinct, we went extinct as dinosaurs.... your consciousness has been evolving also. truth is self evident. visit the truth contest

@IlC4RL0SIl Well, obviously one could define animals as being which are non human. But that doesn't mean that there is a significant difference between us, its just a classification we've given it. From a purely biological point of view there is no difference.
