Has anyone ever been to a VA hospital? I have, and it's not worth bragging about. It is better than nothing but there is plenty of room for improvement.

Despite the botched recent wars the world relies on us and our military might.
True our military prevents the univeraal healthcare but thats life.
I don't see spending 50% of earned income for taxes.
Also America spends twice as much as it collects in revenue, were already doomed.

@cutwagman It won't be "free" our taxes will pay for it like all the other civillized nations of the world. It won't cost us anymore if we stop spending so much on a bloated military budget ans subsidizing oil and drug companies that have billioin dollar profits. There is waste in medicare and whn Obama tried to work to eliminate it, the right started a scare campaign saying he was going to kill Grandma. I only want to tax millionres and billionares higher. They will still be very rich.

Any country that has free healthcare does not have a massive military budget. We do.
We need the big military even though you might argue against the current wars, we still need the big military.
Why don't youi start a campaign opposing medicare waste and fraud and frivolous law suits for malpractice that drives up the cost of healthcare. No not you , you want to keep all that and tax higher for free stuff.

@cutwagman ALL healthcare should be non profit. It's the insurance and drug comapnies making billioins that kill it. As for me bing ignorant or brainwashed, I notice conservatives who parrot Fox news use those terms to describe people who refuse to defend huge corporations.
