Here comes the "wildest" ultra-micro-sized model yet! E-flite has announced the Ultra Micro Xtreme Beast. If anything has established a proverbial "new level" this airplane is it! The color scheme matches the full size airplane closely and with great detail. It has brushless power and much more. Quique Somenzini, world champion RC pilot is designer of the Beast models. He has spent a lot of time perfecting this new small size version. Please follow along on our video presentation and listen as Quique tells us about designing the Ultra Micro Beast. He will outline the features that make this one so "Xtreme".

  • can u fly it with a DX5

  • @jatobeast Yes but not recommended. You will want a transmitter with both programmable dual rate and exponential adjustments for a plane such as the Beast.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom. Okay I'll take a look at it. I had another question. How do you do barrel rolls and those other cool tricks? Thanks.

  • @WaterfowlKiller97 We're working on videos to show you how to do maneuvers in-flight.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom. I'm looking at buying this plane. Only problem is it doesn't come with a controller. The one on this video is $450 or something like that. I'm not paying that much so could you lead me in the direction of a cheaper controller? Like under $100. Thanks

  • @WaterfowlKiller97 You're going to want a more advanced transmitter for a plane such as this. I wouldn't use anything less than a DX6i myself.

  • horizon should make a rc concorde and sell it under parkzone.

  • Congratulations, you want a medal? I didn't hear Jim or Quique say they were new, they just pointed out the features.

  • Make a Carbon Z Beast!!!!!!!

  • Reccommend For Great flight time, To use a Hobby zone 7.4 300mah Way better flight time (around 15 min) and performance is still there. Battery cost the same as the sad 120's. So Hint hint Horizone. Also HZ battery can be charged with any Lipo charger because it doesnt charge thru the balancer lines like the 120's do.. Had to solder a jack on the ESC power feed, no biggy) If I don't stay in high performance mode I can fly 25 min. Well worth the conversion and extra weight. I Love the Beast!

  • The Beast UMX is a great flyer, Heading lock is a trip with the new reciever. It Didn't come with a battery, cut backs I assume to afford the 6400 lbl reciever. Great flyer, bad is to soft built. External bracing fails on glue joints and will cause the foam to fold at stress point. Elevator is split and will tear foam causing right side of elevator to loose control. Should have split rod. reglue all braces and avoid landing in grass that cause it to roll over. It doesn't like bumps. Soft build.

  • This IS one hell of a beast. Nothing like flying the original beast though!

  • Hey Jim what's going on I went to place an order for this little bad boy at Horizon it says it has been ''Discountined''(sorry i know my spelling is bad lol) will you guys be making an upgraded version or what?

  • The Beast is a hoot to fly and the power system is superb. Here's my video:

"UMX Beast UPCLOSE aerobatics in HD" by MGB1977Red

The new six channel receiver with brushless ESC is brilliant. Flaperon option is wonderful and it even has a retract channel. With brushless motor and 2 cell lipo pack you can count on a consistent flight every flight. The carbon fiber rigging makes the Beast almost indestructible. Flaperons help and full flaps at flare bring the Beast to a halt quickly.

  • will it work with a different transmitter but have a spectrum module

  • Just got mine this afternoon ;)

  • @puckhog329 look it up
